Menstruation often stays on the couch in the sports world. High time to sweep that taboo off the road with a campaign that scores on all fronts. A strong shot at open communication between coach, players and supporters. And let video be just the ideal assist for that.
Our approach

Raise awareness with a wink

Rebel aimed at an awareness campaign with a comical wink. So we crawled into our pen to write a screenplay that tells many sports fanatics the facts with a touch of self-relativization. We were looking for a way to playfully headline a serious message.

You will have known

In the end, our script drew the map of reverse psychology. By staging an over the top scenario, we show what not to do. Because “coach, I have my rules” doesn't have to unleash a hyper-patronizing response. Just talking is enough.

Menstruatie op het speelveld

The result is an awareness campaign that puts menstruation at the center of the playing field. A fun wake-up call that holds up a mirror to the viewer. The message is reinforced by airtime on the VRT and Sporza, and extra social media content.
