Red bull soundclash

2 artists, 2 stages and 1 winner, that's what Red Bull Soundclash is all about. We helped Red Bull make a sparkling promo movie for their event. We got 55 seconds to capture the viewer. 55 seconds isn't long so it had to be over. And in our opinion, that is the case.
Our approach

whip, crash, split!

We opted for a visual approach inspired by the gaming and comic world. We used crash zooms, split screens and whip pans. All to enhance that combative atmosphere and to take the viewer into the story. Afterwards, we superimposed animations on the film, inspired by game consoles and laser beams. This combined with a constructive pace and it's all right.

Our solution

Verschillende ratio's? Geen probleem!

The promo video would be used on social media as well as on platforms where the 9:16 ratio is not the standard. The difference in ratios got us thinking. Our solution: film in 4:3 and 9:16. In this way, the film can be used on both vertical and horizontal platforms.
